Sarah Schoderer (1984, Friedrichshafen/Germany) is a painter and sculptor. Her main emphasis in painting is the correlation between colour and light, background and foreground, melting of borders between abstraction and figuration. Schoderer takes most different figures and objects out of its context and puts it in dissolving rooms to create a possibility for an undisguised and direct view on it. She has graduated as Meisterschüler at Städelschule/ Frankfurt. 2012-2014 Schoderer received the Charlotte Prinz Stipendium of the City of Darmstadt. With residencies and scholarships she travelled, worked and lived in Kenya, Belgium and Croatia. She currently lives and works in Frankfurt/ Germany.
